Neither of us were looking for it nor did we expect it, but what a wonderful gift it was!

Thanks to a mutual friend, Tasha Hoover, we were introduced somewhere in mid to late October 2023. From the very start, she was intending to set us up. Only I, Emily, was aware of this which came as very funny but also surprising to Alex later on. Although we started by doing group activities, soon we started doing things on our own. We were having fun and conveniently certain friends were "unable ;)" to hang out. Our favorite and typical activity was going on walks around his neighborhood finishing the night by watching anime.

With much time to talk and some friendly assistance, we decided on January 1st, 2024 to officially start dating.

Many amazing moments were shared since then including a trip to New York and Canada to see the eclipse in the path of totality. Sadly cloud cover blocked our viewing totality but the trip was not in vain! We saw lots of great sights and got to experience ourselves from a different perspective.

Later on June 4th of that year, I proposed to my special person at his house in the basement with some of our friends.

Since then we've been excitedly planning our event and counting down the days til we don't have to drive 25 minutes to see each other!
